{s}mall groups

You may have been to a church with small groups or you may be wondering what it's all about. Maybe you've been in a small group before, or perhaps this is completely new. No matter where you've been, we have a group for you. At ACF, we feel that small groups are the core of our community. We're not just a church with small groups; we're a church of small groups. We call our small groups "house to house" (or H2H) because we feel strongly that this is the model described in the book of Acts.

What Type of Group is Right For You?

We have three types of house-to-house groups that might interest you.

  • Access Groups – Get to know your friends and neighbors better in a casual atmosphere of fun and fellowship.
  • Community Groups – A place to study the Bible, build relationships and share joys and concerns in a family setting.
  • Support Groups – Small groups where you can lean on each other to get through tough times. Please call or email the office for more information on what support groups we have available.

Small Group Values

Our small groups are built on twelve core values. Here's a quick look at those values.

  • Cell – a small group of believers who meet together on a weekly basis
  • Community – being responsible for one another and accountable to one another
  • Caring – all members matter and are cared for by other members of the community
  • Celebration – celebration of the meaningful events, experiences and victories of one’s life
  • Leadership – a continual raising up, training and empowering of new leadership
  • Ministry – every believer a minister; facilitate the discovery and immediate implementation of spiritual gifts
  • Discovery – each member seeks to discover and share the will of God
  • Disclosure – health is promoted and experienced through appropriate disclosure
  • Listening – health in the body more often than not begins when we listen before we speak
  • Relationships – relationships with other believers but also, an intentional and loving relationship with unbelievers
  • Multiplication – if the group is healthy, there will be multiplication; we must expect it
  • Discipleship – go make disciples of all nations
